Pianist/Actor/Musical Director David Maiocco is one of the world’s most well-recognized Liberace “reasonable facsimiles.” He pursued classical studies at Boston and New England Conservatories before hitting the NYC cabaret scene where he became a two-time Bistro and MAC Award winner for Musical Direction and Musical Comedy Performance. He was a long time musical director for Tommy Femia’s Judy Garland Live!, which led to conducting and orchestrating the off-Broadway show I Will Come Back! by High Martin and Timothy Gray at The Players Theatre 1997 as well as James Beaman’s Marlene Dietrich and Lauren Bacall shows. David has accompanied a host of celebrated Cabaret and Broadway stars, including David Sabella, Ben Vereen, Karen Mason, Sue Matsuki, and Sidney Myer. His acclaimed portrayal of Liberace in Brent Hazelton’s one-man play "Liberace!" earned him a Broadway World Award nomination.
